May 28, 2025 – Parish Administrator at St. Vital Parish, Beaumont

How did you know that God was calling you to a religious vocation?

I had an inner desire to become a priest since around 4 years old. I was playing and imitating what the priest was doing in their priestly ministry. I was fascinated by their beautiful robes and sacred vestments. I was attracted to serve as Altar Server at young age and I was filled with immense joy.

What do you enjoy most about being a priest?

I enjoyed celebrating the Sacraments, silent prayer and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. I enjoyed my devotion to the Saints especially to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. I enjoyed reaching out to the unchurched through House Blessing and pastoral visits. It is immensely joy-filled when I was able to minister to the sick especially the dying.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

The most challenging part of my job is driving during winter time in so many Churches and missions during very cold, slippery icy roads with blizzards and with snow storms.

What are your hopes for the parish?

My hope that there will be unity in the ministry of Jesus in our parish. There’s so much division in the universal sphere of the Church, we are in a polarized, complexed globalized world. Till today the prayer of Jesus is relevant, “ I pray to you Father that they may be one as we are one”

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time, however limited that time may be?

To be in nature, with nature, in Communion with all God’s creation. To be in quiet place and also to be with people.
