A Christmas Message From Fr. Nilo

My dear People of God, parishioners & friends;

Christmas blessing and prayerful greetings!

May the Holy Infant Jesus, the new born King smile upon you and be gracious to you on this most wonderful season of the year. As pilgrims of hope on this ordinary jubilee year, we are assured that we will not stumble in the dark but find our path of hope through HIM. He is “Light from Light” and there is no darkness in him. He will shine forth and usher us to the path of eternal salvation as He said: “I am the WAY… for no one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

I humbly pray that our dearest Lord Jesus will lead you to a bright future, brighter than the sun of the day light, “for nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37). May Christ Jesus the ultimate reason to celebrate this season will accompany and protect you as we enter into the New Year 2026. May the Lord Jesus bless you with good health, love, joy, steadfast faith, lasting peace, spiritual strength and manifold graces that you needed to face the new challenges in the coming year.

The Gospel has described the birth of Jesus, the Messiah in the most humble and lowly place on earth, at the stable or in the manger of Bethlehem “for there was no inn” (Luke 2:7). Let us welcome HIM and let him be re-born into the inn of our hearts this Christmas. In Christ Jesus, we found the only authentic meaning of this most wonderful season of the year. “For God so loved the world that He gave us His Only Begotten Son that whoever believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

I fervently pray and implore God’s richest blessings upon you, your entire family and to all whom you hold dear and close to your heart. A very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! I am grateful to know you, you are God’s gift and such a blessing to our parish faith community of St. Vital.
